Handmade Ceramic Stoneware Firtree Mug.
Food safe.
I slab build my Firtree Mugs, by rolling out the clay and impressing the Firtree leaves into it and create the mug shape. Once the mug is leatherhard I can attach the handpulled handle. The mug then goes into the kiln for the first firing, to be biscuit fired.
When the kiln has cooled, I can add the glazes. There is an Almond Milk stoneware glaze on the mug with an Oxide Green glaze on the rim. The Mug then goes into the kiln once more for the glaze firing.
The mug is a lovely size to hold, this would make a lovely gift for a anyone who enjoys a Cuppa, a Coffee or a Herbal Tea or great as an everyday mug.
My Mugs are Stoneware fired to 1250 degrees, making it safe to use them in a domestic oven or microwave, they are also fine in a dishwasher too.
Due to the fact that this piece is Handmade, you may find slight imperfections in the form, glaze and texture from the handmade process. This is what makes each piece unique.
