Handmade Ceramic Stoneware Mug.
7cm (h) x 8 cm (d)
I throw the Mug on my pottery wheel and hand pull the handle, then once the clay is leather hard I can attach the handle to the mug.
Once the mug has dried it goes into the kiln to be biscuit fired, when the kiln has cooled, I can add the glazes. There is an Almond Milk stoneware glaze on the mug with a Mineral Blue glaze on the rim. The Mug then goes into the kiln once more for the glaze firing.
The mug is a lovely size to hold, this would make a lovely gift for a anyone who enjoys a Cuppa, a Coffee or a Herbal Tea or great as an everyday mug
My Mugs are Stoneware fired to 1250 degrees, making it safe to use them in a domestic oven or microwave, they are also fine in a dishwasher too.
Due to the fact that this piece is Handmade, you may find slight imperfections in the form, glaze and texture from the handmade process. This is what makes each piece unique.
